We are currently looking for Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety Specialist to join to join PerkinElmer OneSource team at our Customer’s pharmaceutical site.
Environmental, Health & Safety
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with PerkinElmer and customer EHS training requirements
Implement new or updated internal safety and environmental policies as needed
Support safety and environmental site audit processes
Participate in the incident investigation process, including root cause analysis and identification of corrective action plans
Serve as contractor liaison for all company vendors associated with safety and environmental programs
Interact closely with vendors to facilitate completion of EHS plan (including Risk Assessments) prior to site entry
Perform periodic audits to determine adherence to all required EHS procedures and requirements
Interface with key contacts (end users, building managers, facilities etc.) on customer site
Generate Permit to Work as required for any high-risk work
Attend Site Safety Committee Meetings and disseminate pertinent information
Competencies:
NEBOSH certificate
3 years minimum experience in the implementation and management of EHS programs and management systems, preferably within research operations.
Success working with subcontractors/vendors supporting mutual safety objectives.
Proven track record of success executing high hazard prevention programs; specifically: LO/TO, electrical safety, machine guarding, etc.
A proven track record managing regulatory compliance actions that meet customer needs is a priority. Communicates this to others. Drives this value throughout the organization by being a champion for customer satisfaction.
Problem solving. On the basis of his/her technical product knowledge, acts as a champion of problem solving and ensures the appropriate level of escalation and support is provided in case of need so that technical issues are promptly fixed.
Compliance Security Requirements. He/she takes the adequate time to study, learn and understand all topics related to Compliance Security Requirements, both at Corporate and Customer level.
Quality
Key Responsibilities:
Perform vendor assessments of all service provider subcontractors and managed contractors to determine the level of their quality system and compliance with appropriate client policies
Conduct planned and periodic self-audits and inspections to identify strengths and verify compliance to client Policies and Regulatory requirements.
Investigate and document quality related non-conformances and deviations; Respond with robust CAPAs for all deviations with the Service Provider's scope.
Support maintenance activities and process validation / PQ.
Promptly document all work to confirm authenticity, accuracy, compliance, and traceability. Follow Good Documentation Practices in all work.
Assess and document that all personnel are competent and have the necessary qualifications and experience to perform their tasks
Maintain regulated training documentation for all staff including but not limited to employee curriculum vitae (CV) or resume job description, training matrix, training record, signature verification forms, organisation charts, etc
Develop and manage SOPs, guidelines, work instructions and other documents so that facilities and equipment are routinely calibrated, inspected, checked, and maintained in accordance with regulatory requirements and client policies for those activities within the Service Provider's scope
Confirm that procedures are 'in place', 'fit-for-purpose', and 'in use', i.e., personnel consistently follow and comply with procedures to prevent contamination, errors, safety issues, etc.
Competencies:
Proficiency at internal and external auditing
Demonstrable competency with the QMS and how to execute the component activities of the QMS
Demonstrable competency with Good Documentation Practices
Demonstrable competency with regulations governing GxP activities
Team management and mentoring skills
Understanding of the CMMS and how activities are recorded in the CMMS
Understanding of the RMS system
