The SAP Data Co-Ordinator is responsible for master data creation in SAP on new parts, policing and managing engineering change control with affected stakeholders and the overall maintenance of master data to make sure it is accurate and aligned

New Part setup (DR’s - drawing releases)

  • Monitor PDM for new parts
  • Setup new materials in SAP system, which includes new purchased parts and new internal make parts
  • Work closely with Engineers and Buyers, and monitor materials to setup completion
  • Maintain PDM
  • Liaise with Engineering and R&D if queries arise
  • Setup new materials for NPI’s

Engineering Changes (EC’s)

  • Monitor PDM for released ECN’s
  • Review ECN and communicate to Buyer if purchased part affected
  • If In-house make part, review stock status and impact to production
  • Apply BOM changes in SAP
  • Monitor to completion and update tracker
  • Maintain PDM (ECN status)
  • Run MRP plan to see impact of changes
  • Create master data for quality (QM info records and QM inspection plans)
  • Monitor emails
  • Prepare and submit scrap forms relating to EC’s
  • Run phase in phase out report
  • Maintain site classification data
  • Maintain plant status (ie. use up or obsolete items)

Master data

  • Maintain and manage accurate master data
  • Amend master data where necessary (ie. MRP to bulk, MRP to phantom)
  • Make sure storage locations and backflushing points are correct and point to where parts are located from

Experience required

  • SAP MM
  • Master Data and Bill of Materials experience
  • Background in manufacturing environment
  • Good organisational and communication skills.
