Perkin Elmer, is a leading global provider and support, to the medical research businesses. We are looking for maintenance/ service technicians to complement our service team at AstraZeneca in Mölndal.

The role is a COE (Centre of Excellence) Engineer where the key tasks are:

  • Implementing, planning and ensuring effective maintenance of laboratory equipment in an industry that is in constant development and change
  • Performing preventive as well as remedial maintenance.
  • Coordinating, planning and following up with customers and suppliers on status of work.
  • Troubleshooting and analysis of the needs of the system.

You will work in both smaller and larger teams and independently with a lot of personal responsibility. There are opportunities for professional development as we handle many different instruments.

The equipment you will support is wide ranging including complex electro-mechanical instrumentation eg. LC, SFC, Electronics and mechanics with controls and rules fault correction.  Freeze dryers, roller evaporators, scales, centrifuges, mass spectrometers, chromatography, vacuum pumps, flash systems and clean water equipment.

Please note we are looking for a technician who can repair and maintain laboratory equipment. This is NOT a research position, however, it is advantageous to have a background in the science to understand the lab processes.

Requirements:

  • Relevant education in automation and / or technical or equivalent years experience in maintenance / service work in the technical industry.
  • Experience from the pharmaceutical or chemistry industry.
  • You are a team player who wants to contribute to the team's success in their deliveries every day.

Additional advantageous experience:

  • Chemistry background
  • Experience as a leader (Team Leader, Supervisor)
  • Experience from improvement work (5s, Lean)
  • Coordinator, Planner organisational skills
  • Customer service.

Please note:

  • All roles based on our client site in Gothenburg require a Drug test and Background screening.
  • All roles at PerkinElmer Sweden have a standard 6 month probationary period.
