Location Macclesfield, CheshireGB Job ID JR-035581PerkinElmer is recruiting for a Vendor Operations Manager to join our program supporting a key client within the north-west.
Successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management and delivery of service operations through the site planning and co-ordination of a team, ensuring adherence to PerkinElmer best-in-class customer support of our scientific services offering. As part of the UK operational team, maintains relationships and facilitates regular communication with client, end users and vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
Member of the UK account management team; leads the work planning and control on site team and maintains open lines of communication with client representatives, end users, supply partners, and other managers.
Manages scope of Service Level Agreements (SLA’s); Optimises and reports on Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).
Ensures day-to-day activities for defined services scope are planned and that appropriate resources are available.
Responsible for work planning and control team personnel including hiring, promotions, recognition, discipline, and performance management.
Establishes/coordinates goal setting, performance reviews and incentive/salary administrative processes for direct reports and possibly those reporting to direct reports.
Supports with the management & control of client site budgets and contributes to PerkinElmer financial plan
Identify and communicate to the UK management team opportunities for cost savings and increased scope by identify and anticipating ways to further support our customer.
Leads and supports the identification, application and delivery of innovative ‘leading edge’ support service and infrastructure technologies to enhance service operations
Ensures all services follow appropriate client procedures and Government regulatory codes.
Point of contact for escalations from both client and operational team for the sites identified.
Responsible for all site activity relating to QHSE standards set by the company and the client.
Supports PerkinElmer and Client audits.
Responsible for identifying, sharing best practice, training and resources between sites.
Supporting the operational management team, performs other duties as required.
Competencies required:
Qualification in Business, Engineering, Chemistry or similar
5 years’ experience in Life Sciences / Pharmaceutical laboratory or manufacturing space and familiarity with the associated vendors and consumable providers
Accustomed to working in a regulated environment. (FDA, GMP, GLP audit experience advantageous)
Commercial acumen – managing budget, 3rd party vendor negotiations
Strong customer service ethic
Mindset of continuous improvement
Leadership, change management and people management skills
Excellent presentation and communication skills and MS Office literacy required
